Accountability...here it is!

So it was that time again today to do weight and measurements and I must admit that I was a bit shocked with I checked both, and here's why....
Because of what happened last week with Aspen I didn't get to work out (which was fine because I knew that I needed to be with my little girl), our schedules were all off as far as sleeping and eating...and we just ate whatever we could get our hands on whether it was healthy or junky. So I truly felt that I had gained a ton over the course of the week, so here are the results...

I am down another inch!!!!
I am also down another pound!!!!

I was completely shocked!

I also wanted to let you all know that Aspen has not had a fever since Sunday afternoon, PRAISE THE LORD!

Today Aspen got to spend the morning and afternoon with her friends London and Jacob, and mommy got to enjoy time with her friend Misty (London and Jacob's mom). We took Aspen, Jacob and London to the "Friends 2B made" store in the MOA where Aspen got to take part in making her very own doll. This was Misty's birthday gift to Aspen (Aspen turns 3 on Thursday).
*Be on the LOOKOUT for pictures tomorrow from this fun event*

That's it for now...I am going to sign off and post more tomorrow!

Follow up

So if you read my previous post...this is the follow up...
We just returned from Aspen's follow up appointment with her regular Doctor and her check up went really well, her temperature is down, everything looked great. So that's great news! However, because she had a seizure back in January and had another one yesterday, both due to high fevers, her doctor would like for her to go in and see a neurologist. He thinks that there is nothing for us to worry about, but he just wants to make sure. He isn't worried about it because both were due to such high fevers and that is common, but like I said he just wants to make sure (and so do we).
What I am asking for are just your prayers. I am a little nervous to have to take my little angel into a nerologist (I have never been to one) and so I am not sure what all is going to happen and I know that Aspen will be very nervous and scared. Pray for the Doctor, pray for wisdom and if something is going on that we can find it and figure out what to do. Finally pray for Aspen that she would have no more seizures...I would love for her to be free from them! OH wait! One more, her appointment with the neurologist is on August 5th and 3:30, so if you can all keep that in mind and pray during that time we would greatly appreciate it!

An afternoon in the ER...

Back in January of this year (a week before my due date) Aspen went into the ER because she had a febrile seizure...her fever had all of a sudden spiked and that caused her to have a seizure. Zac and I were both very frantic and didn't know what to do but to call 911 and then they transported her to the hospital...in the end she ended up having RSV and an ear infection. They then told us that she may have another seizure the next time her fever spikes...well that is what happened today...
Aspen woke up this morning at around 5:30 with a very hot head and a full diaper. We gave her some medicine and continued to say that she was very unhappy and that she just wanted to lay down and watch a movie. Before Zac left for work we took her temp and it had lowered considerably. Aspen was then as normal as ever...as she was singing, playing, and just having fun! Until 10:30 rolled along...she then sat on her chair and got very quiet. She kept telling me that she was very sad, and that she no longer was hungry. After telling me that she then said that she just wanted to lay down and watch a movie. I told her that we could and we continued down the stairs. As we were going downstairs she then told me that she missed her daddy...we then proceeded to the couch and we got the movie all ready.
I decided to eat lunch as I was hungry and as soon as I was done I then decided to clean up my dishes. Much to my surprise I heard a very unusual noise coming from who I thought was Titus and then came upon Aspen...you guessed it...she was having a seizure. I was very scared and so I ran to my neighbors house and he was able to comeover and help me out with Titus while I called 911 and got all that taken care of.
It was very scary and we then took Aspen to the ER and all of the tests they did on her came back negative and so all we can think of is maybe she caught a little bug from Kids Stuff. Our little girl is doing much better now that she is home and her fever went from being 104 to now 99 degrees! We are to monitor her all night long and I am to take her to her doctor tomorrow morning.
We are now praying that she continues to do better and that her check up goes well tomorrow, and we are also praying that these seizures would stop, so if we could just ask for your prayers that would be such a blessing. We just pray that this would be the end of it and that next time she gets a fever this would not happen again.
Thank you for reading this and we'll continue to keep you posted!

Happy 4th of July!

Jumping on the Trampoline
Titus sleeping on his baby float (this was on the grass, not on the water)
Aspen and her cousin Hans playing in the sand
Mom, do you want to play too?
Zac and Titus (no Titus is not picking his nose)
For the 4th of July Holiday we went to Lindstrom to celebrate with Zac's side of the family. It's very fun because we are right on the lake and we can enjoy relaxing on the beach, riding on the jet ski, jumping on the tramp, eating lots of yummy and delicious food, and just enjoying time with family catching up anything and everything.

We decided to head down to Zac's grandparents on Thursday night because we thought it would be nice to not have to drive there and back in one day. Well it turns out that both kids didn't sleep very well that night and so we slept 4 to a bed, and it was a full bed...NOT SO COMFORTABLE! Both Titus and Aspen woke up fairly early too, so not thinking anything of it we headed to the 4th of July celebration. Well, Aspen and Titus both fell asleep (which was good, but we only had a 20 minute drive). When we got there Aspen was already starting to whine and Titus was just wanting to sleep.

Things actually started out well, Aspen and I played in the sand and she enjoyed some time in the water. We enjoyed a yummy lunch with lots of food and then it was back to playtime. I didn't do much play time because I was with Titus after lunch for quite some time trying to get him down for a nap, he was such a fighter. So while I took time out with Titus, Zac enjoyed time in the water with Aspen and he also got to ride on the Jet Ski (which was his highlight of the day). After a couple hours of Titus just zoning out he finally fell asleep which gave me a little bit of a break to enjoy chatting with family.

Our plan was to leave by 8:00 knowing that both kids would be exhausted by then, but when 6:00 came they both were just wanting to get home...poor things (and who can blame them especially for not sleeping well the night before and not getting there regular naps?). So we enjoyed a final meal with the family and we were on the road a little before 8! They both were asleep before we were even out of Lindstrom.

Despite both kids not having a great time near the end they really were great kids! Aspen loved the fact that she could play all she wanted in the sand, and also run in the water with all of her cousins. We enjoyed eating Coldstone Ice Cream (and other yummy foods), we played fun games, and just enjoyed being together. When the night came to an end we all watched Shrek 3 in our PJ's and fell asleep, what a great way to end the night.

So last Tuesday I did measurements had a really great week of working out and this morning I measured to see if anything changed in a week...and...
Even though I only lost a pound I lost 4 inches!!!! Wow! This just excites me to continue on my weight loss journey.

*On a side note...
It's been awhile since I posted pictures, I will definitely post some tonight*
