But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” - Joshua 24:15

Two HUGE things this month!

I have always wanted to do find something that I love and work from home, and I finally did!
A few weeks ago I went to my sister in laws home as she invited me to a Lia Sophia show.  Immediately when I arrived I browsed at the jewelry and was IN LOVE!  I have always loved jewelry and there jewelry is BEAUTIFUL!  Here is just one of there many beautiful pieces that will be featured in there newest catalog coming out tomorrow!

I just love it!  It's stunning!
Back to the party, so when Jen (the consultant) began the party she just was immediately excited and talked about some of the best sellers, how some of the necklaces can be worn more than one way, and quality and guarantee with each Lia Sophia piece!  Then it was time to have fun, try on jewelry, and order!
I had so much fun and thought to myself, "I should have a party, but better yet, I should become a consultant!"
As soon as I got home and talked with my husband, he was BEYOND excited and totally said "Yes!"  Seeing his excitement and having his support, I immediately emailed Jen and told her that I was interested and that is where it began...and continues...
I have now ordered my starter kit and have my KICK OFF LIA SOPHIA PARTY on August 27th!  I would love it if you would come and support me and this new business venture in my life.  Come and see beautiful jewelry, enjoy some delicious appetizers, and enjoy time with the girls!
Also, if you would like to know how you could have a piece of jewelry valued at $100 but all you pay is $15, let me know!  (A little sales pitch)

Another big thing this month...

HALF MARATHON!

Yes, that's right, a half marathon!
I feel like all that I have been doing for the last few months, is RUN!  A few years ago if you would have told me that I would be running a half marathon I would have laughed in your face.  But it is amazing seeing how far I have come.  My strength and endurance has grown and I see how far I have come and I just get excited about accomplishing this goal I have set for myself.

August 22nd is the BIG day!  It is for a great cause, if you would like to check it out go to...

It's right around the corner and that will be a big week for me as I have the half marathon on a Sunday and my kick off party that following Friday!

If you think about it, please pray for myself and for all of the runners from now until the day of the half marathon, thank you!

Where have we been...and how time flies...

First of all...look at our beautiful little girl!
She turns 5 tomorrow...that's right...tomorrow on July 17th our daughter Aspen will be 5!

TIME DOES FLY!

What are the big plans?  We are going to have a special breakfast: pancakes, eggs, sausage (her favorite)!
Then at 1:00 the festivities begin!
We have lots planned and I just hope that the girls all have fun!
Aspen's favorite books are Pinkalicious and Purplelicious...so the colors of course are pink and purple!
In the book Pinkalicious it is focused on cupcakes, so we are going to have cupcakes and of course, strawberry lemonade!
There are going to be two games: who can decorate the best cupcake and who will get the closest to pinning the cherry on the cupcake, prizes will be given!
There will be story time...nail painting...gift opening...cupcake eating...etc...PICTURES TO COME!

Aspen is so excited!

As for what else we have been up to?
Well, Aspen and I got to go out to Colorado to celebrate with my sister on her birthday.  It was so much fun to go on a trip with Aspen and have some much needed girl time.
What else...
Oh yeah, still training for a half marathon that is on August 22nd...and BOY AM I NERVOUS!  I have been doing the training and sticking to it, but I am still worried.  Tomorrow's agenda is to wake up good and early and do a 7 mile run!
We had a wonderful fourth of July at the lake...and my sister came to visit last week, it was great to spend more time with her...always good when she visits!

MY NEWEST ADVENTURE to begin on August 27th 2010...
I will be selling Lia Sophia and I CAN'T WAIT!
August 27th marks my kick off day and from then on I can host parties and ladies when you host a party, you get AMAZING deals!  So, if you would like to come to my party and/or host a party please let me know!

Now that I am back in the blogging world (it has been awhile) I will post more regularly, until then I must get to bed...it's late and we have a busy day tomorrow!  Good night!

A brokendown van and a trip to the Emergency Room!

What a weekend...one that we as a family will never forget!

We woke up Saturday morning got all packed and ready to head to the farm aka "A little bit of Heaven!"

On our way to the farm...our van began driving really strange.  To be honest I kept blaming Zac for the way he was driving and turns out it was not his fault at all (yes i did apologize for getting so angry with him).  Thankfully we were able to pull over before our van died.  The van would start but it would not accelerate.  We were able to get it towed, but it was an HOUR WAIT until they would arrive.

An hour????  With two kids????  What were we going to do?
Luckily they were the two BEST kids ever!  They enjoyed playing with the toys, reading books, eating snacks, etc...  They had the best time.

The tow truck arrived at the perfect time because Zac's uncle came to pick Zac and the kiddos up just a few minutes after the tow truck did.  The kids were so excited to ride in his truck and they went off to the farm and I went to the shop with our now COMPLETELY dead van!

Little did I know that it would mean that I would be at the shop for 6 hours by myself!
What did I do during those 6 hours?  Read LOTS of gossip magazines and LOTS of reality television.

Turns out that our van needs a new fuel pump...LOTS OF MONEY to repair!  They could not get a fuel pump that day and so our van needed to sit there until today, Tuesday.
But luckily again, my sister-in-law was able to pick me up on there way to the farm.  Praise the Lord!

We made it to the farm and I was reunited with my family and the time that was spent there was amazing!  Great food, weather, and fun playing games!   We went to the flea market and antique stores, enjoyed a nice run in the countryside, etc...  It is definitely our "heaven on earth"

Monday (memorial day) came along and we were enjoying BBQ, games, pictures, jumping on the tramp, etc... when all of a sudden I heard Aspen screaming...MOMMY I'M BLEEDING, I'M BLEEDING!  She was not lying...there was blood all over her hand, the deck, etc...  Daddy immediately took her inside and washed the area and the cut on her hand was BAD!  We brought her to the hospital and she did need to get stiches, only 3, but it was very traumatic for our little girl.  She did a great job and the doctors and nurses were great.  We then headed back to the farm said our goodbyes to everyone and headed home.  We got to bed very late and slept in this morning.  Aspen is doing great today and for our van...

Our van will not be done today like we thought and the reason for that is, the guy at the shop said he can get a fuel pump for $100 cheaper, but we need to wait until tomorrow....so tomorrow is the day we will get our van back...CAN'T WAIT!

This memorial day goes down in the books as the most eventful ever.  We are just thankful that our van breaking down did not cause an accident, because it could have, and we are thankful that Aspen's cut was not any worse that it could have been.  Praise the Lord!

"My mom" questions answered by Aspen

Today when I picked Aspen up from school she said to me, "Mom, I have some VERY SPECIAL for you, and I want to show you when we get home!"

I asked her about it and tried to guess, and she told me, "Nope, no guessing, you will see when we get home!" (followed by giggles and excitement)

We got home and into our house and Aspen IMMEDIATELY showed me what she made.  It was a Mother's Day Book!  I love it!

Especially the first page
Her teacher Mrs. Jeannie asked her questions and Aspen had to fill in the blank
Here are Aspen's answers:

My Mom
My mom is 91 YEARS OLD
My mom is the prettiest when SHE WAKES UP IN THE MORNING
My mom likes to make HAMBUGERS
My mom always says, I LOVE YOU
My mom is funny when she TICKLES ME

I just smiled!
I look pretty good for being 91 years old!

A wonderful weekend together!

My wonderful parents offered to take our two kids for the weekend!  As soon as I told Aspen and Titus they were so excited (as were Zac and I).

So, we packed there bags and they headed to Papa and Grandma's house from Saturday to Monday.

What did we do while they were gone?

Saturday morning I had a wonderful time chit chatting with some amazing women at breakfast.  Where did we go?

What a fun time!  Great food, great laughs, great time!  If you have never been to Jensen's cafe, you have got to try it...I know that I will go back!

After a wonderful morning with the girls I ventured over to my mother in laws for there neighborhood garage sale.  So many people and some very interesting people watching (does anyone else people watch?)  Did not get much from the sale, but did score Aspen a beautiful jewelry box, a beautiful sweater for my mom, and some cute little lamps for our living room.
After the garage sale I had a couple of hours until I met up with my hubby, so I went to Target (ALL BY MYSELF) and scored an AMAZING deal on a pair of jeans for my hubby!  Originally $30 but they were on the 75% off rack (and in his size) for $6.98!
*I do not have a picture of them, but they are cool, and you would never guess that I got them from Target*
FINALLY it was time to meet up with my wonderful hubby, it was date night and where did we go?

Have you ever been here?  One word...AMAZING!
The atmosphere, the service, the food, and the best part...the company!  I had such a great time sitting with my husband and just talking.  It had been awhile since we had a date night and it was definitely the BEST time ever!  I love my husband so much and just truly enjoyed being with him.
Definitely go to Enjoy!  You truly will ENJOY it (i know that sounded corny, but you truly will) and if you go, PLEASE try the Butternut Squash Ravioli, you will not be disappointed!

The rest of our weekend was spent at church, more time with his wonderful family, dinner at El Azteca, and a wonderful evening Sunday night with our small group.

A wonderful weekend spent with my wonderful husband and we thank my womderful parents for watching our wonderful children!
